When are you open?
We're open Tuesday through to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and by appointment Mondays & Sunday
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash. Please ensure you have enough with you when you come for your appointment. Our nearest ATM is the 7/11 at the end of our block, or Yarraville Village (near the train station).
Do you also tattoo in colour?
Our talented lineup of artists specialise in a range of styles, in both greyscale and colour. Our socials are the best way to see their work.
How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
In Victoria, you have to be 18 or older to get tattooed, even with parental consent. A government approved ID is essential.
Do you have gift vouchers?
We sure do! Gift vouchers are available in store or via email (minimum spend $100) and are valid for one year from date of purchase.
Is car parking available?
Street parking is available. In addition, Village Tattoo is a short stroll to both Yarraville and Seddon Train Stations, accessible on the Williamstown and Werribee train lines, and close to the Melbourne CBD.
Do you accommodate walk ins?
We are thankfully, finally, in a position to accept walk-ins. However we do prefer appointments, so if you can, please email us at info@villagetattoo.com.au to arrange your appointment
Do you do cover up tattoos?
Yes, our talented artists are experienced in reworking, adding to, or completely covering existing tattoos.
How long is the wait time?
Wait times depend on your artists availability and the size and complexity of the piece. We hope to have your appointment booked within the month of your consultation. As you can understand, we are working through previously rescheduled and cancelled appointments first, so your wait time may be a little longer than you expect - but we thank you for your patience while we try to get back to 'normal'.
How do I prepare for my tattoo?
To ensure the appointment runs smoothly for both yourself and your artist, please ensure you are well rested, have eaten and maintained appropriate hydration. Tattooing with a hangover isn't fun for anyone.
Can I drink before my appointment?
It is illegal in Victoria to tattoo anyone under the influence of alcohol, drugs or painkillers.
We also recommend not using numbing cream as it will affect your quality of ink. Some artists may refuse tattoo you if you have it on.
Artists reserve the right to refuse service to any potential clients if the client is intoxicated or otherwise impaired, or should they feel unsafe or threatened by the client in any way.
Can I bring my own design?
Our studio does custom tattoo work. We are happy to work from your references but will not copy other designs/tattoos. If you have a 'tattoo ticket'/pass/permission to a design, we absolutely require proof of purchase before moving forward.
It is also important to be aware that not all images make for good tattoos and your artist will work with you to redesign images to work best for your body and the tattoo’s longevity. Our artists have the right to refuse any design.
I've paid a deposit but somethings come up/I've changed my mind - can I get a refund?
All deposits are non-refundable. With enough notice, we're more than happy to reschedule your appointment for a time that suit you better, however you won't be refunded.
